We are so excited to share “Blue” with the world. Blue is a very personal song that carries a universal message. It is a heart-felt reflection on love and loss, told through a palette of colors.
We filmed this video nearly a year ago, on the same brisk spring morning when we filmed “Paper Smiles.” The wildflowers were in bloom in Point Reyes National Seashore, and we were really glad the forget-me-nots could make an appearance. All sound was captured live, creek and all, with the help of Nate Nauseda of Prairie Sun Recording Studio, who rigged a remote mixing booth on the forest floor.
Our videographer, Annie Escobar of Awake Storytelling, really brought the song to life through her simple and beautiful cinematographic vision. All of us felt this song deserved a simple video to allow the emotion and lyrics to really sink in.
We hope this brings some peace, catharsis, and maybe a little hope to your day.
All our love,
Late for the Train
